We are pleased to announce that three Lime Kiln students have earned First Place honors in the HCPSS Young Author’s Contest. The following students will go on to compete at the state level. Congratulations to:
Abigail Zecharias (6th grade) for her short story “In the Life of our Worst Nightmare: A Covid Tale”
Leilah Fokar (7th grade) for her poem “Unspoken Words”
Hannah Le (8th grade) for her short story “Once upon a Hospital”
Due to a procedural error that took place during the spelling bee, we have new and updated results. The champion for the LKMS spelling bee is seventh grader Tara Vallabha, and our runner up is eighth grader Alex Leonard. We are very sorry for the confusion and we applaud all the students who took part in this program, and wish Tara good luck at the Howard County Spelling Bee.
Students must be up to date with immunizations before returning to school. If students are not up to date with immunizations, parents will be called to pick their student up from school. Please email a copy of your student's updated immunizations to Kassy Wanless, the Cluster Nurse, at kassandra_wanless@hcpss.org.
