Greetings Lime Kiln Leopards,

What a year 2020 has been! Your caring, collaboration, and support have made the difference in students’ success with the virtual learning world.  We are so grateful for your partnership. We wish a safe and relaxing Winter Holiday Break to our LKMS family!  To help your family enjoy this time to the fullest, Lime Kiln Middle will have a “homework free” winter break. Take this time to recharge and safely make special moments with family, friends, and loved ones!  

We look forward to continuing our partnership with you in the new year and to brighter days ahead in 2021!

Carson Scholarship

Congratulations to Rahul Goyal who has been selected as our school's nominee for the $1,000 Carson Scholarship. Rahul's stellar academic record, together with his outstanding participation in service opportunities in and outside of school, make him highly competitive.  There were so many qualified eighth grade students that the selection committee had a tough choice.  Best of luck to Rahul in the next round of selection levels!

Young Author's Contest

Thank you to all those who submitted an entry in the Young Author's contest.  Judging is complete and the following students have been selected as our LKMS winners for Young Author's!  Their submissions will be moving on to compete at the Howard County level.  Congratulations to all the winners and good luck as you move forward in the contest!

Student Services News

Attention Rising 9th Grade Students:

Please be certain to read the Registration Information  from River Hill High and Reservoir High regarding their upcoming "virtual" Parent Information Nights on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 6:30pm.  Administration and Students Services will host a Meet & Greet, and parents will have an opportunity to visit sessions with staff representing various departments.  A detailed schedule will be provided after the return from Winter Break.

 

Media Center News

Want to check out a book?  Lime Kiln Middle offers a "curbside checkout" service every Wednesday from 10:30-11:30am.    After looking at our PAC, just complete this Survey.   Pick-up of all books will be in the lower level parking lot of our school.
