Welcome back students and Welcome all 6th grade students and new students to LKMS!

The first day of school is just around the corner.  We are ready to welcome students back to school and look forward to having a great year.

The Health Room will be open and ready to receive medications and/or other physician related orders on the following dates and times:

Thursday, August 23, 8:00am-3:00pm
Friday, August 24, 10:00am-12:00pm  
Monday, August 27, 10:30am-3:00pm
Thursday, August 30, 12:00pm-3:00pm and 5:00pm-6:30pm

Please bring all supplies during this week, as we usually have many parents waiting in line the first day of school. We must verify each medication order and the medication.  This can be very time consuming.

Injuries/Health Conditions:

If you have an injury currently or had an injury at the end of school last year,  you will need to provide the Nurses with a Doctor's clearance note/release to participate in a physical activity.   These forms are available on the HCPSS website, www.hcpss.org.   If your student is returning to school with a brace, cast, crutches or any medical device, please contact the Nurses.  In order to keep our students safe, we need to be aware of injuries in the building and alert our staff as needed.    It is most helpful to have prepared plans, as some injuries require evacuation plans to be written by the Nurses.
